Pape Machinery
Administrative Assistant
02/10/2014-07/08/2016
After having my second son Daxton in January of 2014, I was in heaven. I had two amazing boys, and was at my maternal peak if you will. I was in complete disbelief of these little blessings bestowed upon me. Unfortunately, my time in the land of motherly bliss would have to come to a sudden hault, when reality set in. I had to provide for these little helpless creatures of mine I brought into this world. I could no longer spend all my waking moments staring into the eyes of a babe, wiping baby spit from my blouse, or changing dirty diapers. I was going to have to find a means to support them. I had experience in a multitude of trades, but I had been out of work for a bit. Where was I going to find work,. and how would I manage all that time away from my new born baby.
As luck would have it, after talking to my old college counselor from Empire College, I was referred to a company Pape' Machinery as an administrators assistant and was given an interview a few days later.
I got the job! Soon I would be reporting to work, clocking in at my 9-5, and rushing home to spend few hours with my kids before we were off to bed, just to do it again the next day. Then the next.
However, thats not quite how it played out for me!
For starters, this company was great! Incentives, pay, heaalth insurance were all great. Nonetheless, that was not what I enjoyed most about working there. It was my co-workers. The group, or team of individuals I was blessed to work side by side with for the years I was fortunate enough to have been employed by this company, made all the difference in the world. They all have such different personalities, yet all still very professional. Most were much older than I, and impeded wisdom on me at any given opportunity. I learned so much more than what my job duties consisted of during my vocation with Pape' Machinery. They quickly became a second family to me.
I have yet to mention the fact that my children's daycare unbenounced to me at the time, and by no means planned, was less than a half a mile down, and on the same block as Pape' Machinery!
I did my very best to give my very best, and ultimately was gifted the foremost treatment in return. I can only attempt to convey my admiration for the staff I had the pleasure of interacting with on my day to day their.
I have included this all in my Career Exposition Timeline, because I do infact feel these are important when inquiring who I am as a potential candidate to your team, as well as who I am as an individual.
You see, I decided to model myself, just as the co-workers I had worked beside at Pape Machinery. Compassionate, considerate, and fair to everyone I encounter in both my professional and personal life. To give any employer the same dedication , hard work, and conviction as I would a company I'd built with my own two hands.......
To pass down knowledge and wisdom when an opportunities arises..
Any and all these attributes when practiced, I found result in a more well rounded, fulfilling, quality of life.........
